The Minister of Basic Education, Professor Laurent Serge ETOUNDI NGOA, alongside some of his collaborators, granted on September 29th, 2023 in his office to the representative of the MAARIF Foundation, Mr. Emrah FÜÇÜK. After welcoming him, Professor Laurent Serge ETOUNDI NGOA gave the floor to the representative of the MAARIF Foundation.
Mr. Emrah FÜÇÜK said that the purpose of their visit was to present the work to be done by the foundation which consists of building strong collaborative links between the two entities on the social, cultural, constitutional and management levels. It is above all questions of inserting religious programs into nursery and primary education in Cameroon. He continues to say that there is a strong demand from the Cameroonian authorities for the creation of more nursery and primary schools, as only three nursery schools and five primary schools have been created and are already operating in the regions of Garoua, Bertoua and Douala.
The Minister of Basic Education, welcomed the initiative led by the foundation and encouraged it to continue in the process of obtaining the technical elements of the compliant projects necessary for the creation of schools while waiting for the official launch of the ceremony. . The audience ended at 3:45 p.m. with Mr. Emrah FÜÇÜK giving a gift to the Minister of Basic Education as a sign of gratitude, accompanied by a family picture as a souvenir.
