Signature of two conventions this Wednesday 5th December 2023 at the Ministry of Basic Education. The first agreement links the FENASSCO league B to the Cameroonian football federation (FECAFOOT), while the second links the FECAFOOT to the national commission for UNESCO (COMNAT). During his speech, the president of FECAFOOT welcomed the signing of these two conventions which, without any doubt, will allow football to have greater visibility in schools, but above all, to be played in an environment free of the evils that undermine its practice in schools, in particular violence, drugs, manipulation, etc. In short, a sport which is practiced in a healthy environment has the emergence of nuggets from primary school. With this in mind, Samuel Eto'o Fils promised, through the eponymous foundation,to support in the amount of 50 million to reward the best footballers from the FENASSCO league B games. Speaking in his turn, the Minister of basic education under his dual role as president of the federal council of FENASSCO league B and president of COMNAT, underlined the importance of these two conventions. For Professor Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa, sport in general and sport in school in particular, as a large-scale social activity, must take place not only in a healthy environment, but also a safe and protective environment. This is what gives the meaning to the FECAFOOT-COMNAT's convention; a memorandum of understanding which aims to combat drug use in schools, among others.
