Placed under the authority of a Director, the Department of Health, Sport and Post and Extracurricular Activities is responsible for:

– coordination of health policy in schools;

– the rooting of the school in its environment;

– the promotion of sports activities and the Olympic values in schools;

– the coordination and revitalization of clubs and associations of educational interest within schools;

– monitoring the activities of teachers’ unions and mutuals;

– monitoring the organization of school games;

– monitoring actions to promote associative culture in schools;

– the promotion of manual work in schools, in liaison with the General Inspectorate of Education;

– the fight against the major scourges that undermine young people in schools;

– monitoring and coordinating the activities of medical personnel in service at the Ministry;

– monitoring the activities of the Associations of Parents of Students and Teachers.

             – the Post and Extracurricular Activities Sub-Directorate
