The Minister of Basic Education, Professor Laurent Serge ETOUNDI NGOA received in audience in his office, this Wednesday, July 17, 2024, Mr. IBRAHIM CHALARE, principal manager of social infrastructure operations, IDB regional HUB in Abuja. On the agenda of the discussions, the preparation and evaluation of the Smart Education project in partnership with GPE, BADEA, IDB. After the usual pleasantries, the Minister and his host reviewed the stages of the project to date. This stage involves finalizing the document to be submitted to the board of directors to approve the financing of the Islamic bank to the tune of $40 million. Taking stock, MINEDUB expressed its satisfaction with the project. It must be said that the Smart Education project is the continuation of the partnership with PASSZEP with all the transformations that go with it. 3 implementation partners including UNICEF, UNESCO and WFP are active in the project.
