The Secretary of State to the Minister of Basic Education, Dr Vivian Asheri KILO, personal representative of the Minister of Basic Education along side some close collaborators such as the Secretary General of the Ministry of Basic Education and the Inspector General of Education presided over the official validation workshop of the 2023/2024 statistical yearbook and data analysis report of the Ministry of Basic Education; this Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the Mont Febe hotel in Yaounde.
Amidst the participants were: project and programme coordinators, technical and financial partners, and some officials of the civil society. This crucial and august workshop was organized by the Head of the Planning, Project, and Cooperation Division of the Ministry of Basic Education, Mrs. ELOBO Lisette. The major objective was to set out the pathway for the following objective:
- optimize the management of teachers in public primary schools;
- side line indicators of basic education in the 2023/2024 school census;
- present the structure of the school map;
- implement recommendations from the 2022/2023 data analysis report;
- process the updates of the 2023/2024 education school map of the Ministry of Basic Education.
All these objectives were engulfed in four exposés presented to the general public, after which there were some discussions and exchanges that further paved the way for recommendations and validation that were approved under reserve. The Secretary of State rounded off phase one of this ceremony by thanking the technical and financial partners, civil society organizations, and experts for their support and implored all the participants to participate enormously so as to ensure these objectives are strictly evaluated to the latte.
The relay baton was then given to the Secretary General of the Ministry of Basic Education Dr. OYONO Adams Daniel who moderated the closing ceremony.
